Farm Run Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Peak APPtitude Ltd ("Peak APPtitude", "we", "us" or "our") handles information when you use the mobile game Farm Run on Android, Amazon Fire OS or iOS. Farm Run is distributed through Google Play, the Amazon Appstore and the Apple App Store. The Android and Amazon Appstore package name is com.PeakAPPtitude.farmrun and the iOS bundle identifier is com.peakapptitude.farmrun.

Peak APPtitude Ltd is the developer of Farm Run and is responsible for the information it handles directly. Some features use Google, Amazon or Apple services that process information under their own privacy terms.

Summary

  • Energy-full and Fountain notifications are generated locally through Android, Fire OS or iOS; Farm Run does not use a remote notification server.

Information stored locally on your device

Farm Run stores information needed to operate the game in its private app storage. This may include:

  • game progress, scores, checkpoints and gameplay statistics;
  • challenge progress and claimed rewards;
  • virtual coins and energy;
  • Bonus Wheel meter progress, available spins and rewarded-ad cooldown times;
  • Farm Builder plot, building, reward and Fountain timing progress;
  • unlocked and selected farmers, clothing, mounts and control skins;
  • music, sound, haptic, control and notification settings;
  • tutorial and first-run guidance status;
  • your selected age group.

This local information is not sent to Peak APPtitude. On Android and Fire OS, you can delete it by clearing Farm Run's app data or uninstalling the game. On iOS, deleting Farm Run removes its local app data; using Apple's Offload App option can retain documents and data for later reinstallation. Farm Run does not provide a Peak APPtitude account or cloud-save service.

Age-group selection

Farm Run asks you to select one of three age groups: Under 13, 13-15, or 16 or older. It does not request your name or date of birth for this purpose.

The selected bracket is saved locally and is used to configure appropriate advertising and privacy treatment. Where Google's advertising services are initialised, the relevant child, teen or unspecified age-treatment signal is supplied to those services. You can change the selection through Farm Run's Support menu.

If Under 13 is selected, Farm Run also uses that locally saved choice to place a grown-up calculation before the real-money Shop offers are displayed. The calculation and the answer entered are evaluated on the device for that Shop visit; they are not saved as player information or sent to Peak APPtitude. This in-game gate does not process a payment and does not replace Google Play, Amazon Appstore or Apple purchase confirmation, account supervision, Family Link, Amazon parental controls, Ask to Buy or other available platform controls.

Advertising and consent

Farm Run uses Google AdMob to provide optional rewarded advertisements. You decide whether to press a Watch Ad control in exchange for an in-game reward. Whether Google Mobile Ads and Google's User Messaging Platform are initialised depends on the platform, selected age group, region and applicable system privacy permission. On iOS for players selecting 16 or older, these Google services are not accessed or initialised unless App Tracking Transparency permission is authorised.

Depending on your device, region, age treatment and privacy choices, Google may process information including:

  • your IP address, which may indicate an approximate general location;
  • app and advertisement interactions, such as app launches, taps and video views;
  • diagnostic information, such as crash logs, SDK performance, app launch time, hang rate, energy usage and other technical diagnostic data; and
  • device or account identifiers, including an Android advertising ID, app set ID or Apple advertising identifier where permitted.

Google uses this information for purposes that may include delivering and measuring advertisements, analytics, security and fraud prevention. Information transmitted to Google is encrypted in transit.

For players who select Under 13 or 13-15, Farm Run disables personalised advertising, applies Google's child or teen restricted treatment as appropriate, and requests advertisements with a maximum G content rating. Contextual or limited advertising may still require limited device, network, interaction and anti-fraud information.

For players who select 16 or older, Google's consent form is displayed where required. Eligible players can revisit available choices through Menu > Settings > Support > Privacy Choices. Android, Fire OS and iOS also provide advertising and privacy controls in their system settings.

On iOS, Farm Run uses Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework for players who select 16 or older before accessing or initialising Google's advertising and consent services for that age configuration. This Apple permission is not requested from players who select Under 13 or 13-15. If tracking permission is authorised, Farm Run may then request the applicable Google consent choices and initialise Google Mobile Ads in accordance with those choices. If tracking permission is denied or restricted, Farm Run does not display Google's consent form, does not initialise Google Mobile Ads for that adult configuration, and does not request a rewarded advertisement. Rewarded-ad features are therefore unavailable and grant no reward unless the required permission is subsequently enabled. Granting tracking permission remains optional and is not required to play Farm Run or use non-advertising features.

Online leaderboards

Farm Run provides an online high-score leaderboard through Google Play Games Services in the Google Play version and Apple Game Center in the iOS version. The Amazon Appstore version does not include Google Play Games Services or another online leaderboard. If you sign in to or use a leaderboard in a supported version, the relevant platform provider processes information associated with your gaming profile, which can include:

  • your Play Games player identifier or Game Center player identifier;
  • your gamer name, nickname and profile image where displayed by the service;
  • device and service identifiers;
  • game activity; and
  • scores submitted to the Farm Run leaderboard.

Farm Run submits your best score and receives the information needed to authenticate the player, confirm score submission and display the platform's leaderboard interface. Peak APPtitude does not use this information to create a separate Farm Run account and does not receive your Google or Apple account password.

In the Google Play version, leaderboard participation is governed by your Google account and Play Games privacy settings. On iOS, it is governed by your Apple Account, Game Center and Apple privacy settings. You can manage the relevant information through those platform controls. In-app purchases

Farm Run offers optional purchases of virtual coins and energy through the in-game Shop. Purchases use Google Play Billing in the Google Play version, Amazon In-App Purchasing in the Amazon Appstore version and Apple StoreKit/App Store in the iOS version.

Payments are processed by Google Play, Amazon or Apple, according to the store from which you obtained Farm Run. Peak APPtitude does not receive or store your full payment-card or bank-account details. To complete and verify a purchase, provide the purchased content, prevent duplicate rewards or fraud, process pending transactions and provide support, Farm Run and the relevant store process purchase-related information such as:

  • the product purchased;
  • purchase status and time;
  • a Google purchase token, Amazon receipt identifier or Apple transaction identifier, as applicable;
  • order, receipt or transaction information; and
  • information needed to confirm that a purchase is valid.

In the Amazon Appstore version, Farm Run receives the Amazon product identifier, purchase result and receipt identifier needed to award the purchased virtual item, report fulfilment and prevent the same consumable receipt from being rewarded twice. Fulfilled receipt identifiers may be retained in Farm Run's private local storage for duplicate prevention. Farm Run does not use Amazon account information to create a Peak APPtitude player account.

Google handles Google Play payment information under the Google Privacy Policy and the terms applying to Google Play purchases. Amazon handles Amazon Appstore payment information under the Amazon Privacy Notice and the terms applying to Amazon Appstore purchases. Apple handles iOS payment information under the Apple Privacy Policy and the terms applying to App Store purchases. Purchase and accounting records may be retained where needed for transaction processing, fulfilment, duplicate prevention, fraud prevention, chargebacks, refunds, support, taxation or other legal obligations.

Game notifications

If you choose Allow in Farm Run and approve your device's notification permission request where one is required, Farm Run can schedule local game notifications, including a message when energy has fully regenerated and a message when the Farm Builder Fountain is ready to start for its daily Coin reward. You can turn game notifications on or off in Farm Run's Settings or in Android, Fire OS or iOS notification settings.

The energy and Fountain calculations, scheduled times and notification preference are stored locally on your device. Notifications are scheduled and displayed by Android, Fire OS or iOS. Peak APPtitude does not receive your notification preference, energy level, Fountain state or notification activity, and Farm Run does not use a remote push-notification or messaging service.

Permissions and device features

Farm Run may request or use:

  • Internet and network state for Google advertising and consent, supported online leaderboards, and Google Play, Amazon Appstore or Apple App Store services;
  • Notifications to display game notifications if you allow them; and
  • Vibration or system haptics for optional gameplay feedback.

On iOS, Tracking permission is requested only for eligible players who select 16 or older, as described in the Advertising and consent section. Refusing this permission does not prevent gameplay or use of non-advertising features, but rewarded advertisements are unavailable for that age configuration and grant no reward.

Farm Run does not require access to your contacts, camera, microphone, phone calls, SMS messages, calendar, photos or precise device location to play.

Information you send to us

If you contact Peak APPtitude by email, we receive your email address and the information you include in your message. We use it to respond, provide support, investigate faults or abuse, protect Farm Run and comply with legal obligations.

Please do not send unnecessary personal information. Support correspondence is retained only for as long as reasonably needed for support, security, record-keeping or legal purposes.

Why information is processed

Where UK or European data-protection law applies, information may be processed:

  • to provide features or services you request, such as a leaderboard entry or purchase;
  • with your consent, including where consent is required for advertising or optional device permissions;
  • for legitimate interests in operating, securing, improving and supporting Farm Run, where those interests do not override your rights; and
  • to comply with legal obligations.

You can withdraw an optional consent or permission through the relevant in-game, Google, Amazon, Apple, Android, Fire OS or iOS controls. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before it was withdrawn.

Sharing and third parties

Peak APPtitude does not independently sell player personal information for money. Information may be processed by Google to provide AdMob, consent management, Play Games Services and Google Play Billing; by Amazon to provide Amazon Appstore distribution and Amazon In-App Purchasing; and by Apple to provide Game Center, StoreKit and App Store services. Advertising-related processing may be treated as "sharing", "targeted advertising" or a similar concept under some privacy laws, and available controls are provided through Google's consent tools, Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework and platform privacy settings.

Information may also be disclosed where reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to a valid legal request, prevent fraud or abuse, protect users, or establish and protect our legal rights.

Retention and deletion

  • Local Farm Run data remains on your device until it is overwritten, you clear the app's data, or you uninstall the game.
  • Google determines retention for information it controls through AdMob, Play Games and Google Play under its policies, account settings and legal obligations.
  • Amazon determines retention for information it controls through the Amazon Appstore and Amazon In-App Purchasing under its policies, account settings and legal obligations.
  • Apple determines retention for information it controls through Game Center, StoreKit and the App Store under its policies, account settings and legal obligations.
  • Purchase records may be retained for transaction verification, fraud prevention, refunds, accounting and legal compliance.
  • Emails sent to Peak APPtitude are retained only while reasonably needed for support, security, record-keeping or legal purposes.

Farm Run does not provide a Peak APPtitude online player account. You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information held directly by Peak APPtitude. Requests concerning information controlled by Google, Amazon or Apple may need to be made through the relevant provider's privacy or account controls.

Security

Farm Run uses Android, Fire OS or iOS private app storage for local saves. Third-party service communications use encrypted network connections where supported. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the information we handle, but no storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure.

International processing

Google, Amazon and Apple may process information in countries other than the country where you live. They explain their international data-protection arrangements in their privacy documentation. Where Peak APPtitude transfers personal information internationally, we will use safeguards required by applicable law.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent.

To exercise a right concerning information controlled directly by Peak APPtitude, contact us using the address below. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. In the United Kingdom, this is the Information Commissioner's Office.

Children and parents

Farm Run is intended for a general audience that may include children. We do not require children to provide a name, email address, precise location or other direct contact information to play. Age-appropriate advertising restrictions are applied using the selected age bracket as described above. When Under 13 is selected, the locally operated grown-up gate described above is also shown before real-money Shop offers; purchases remain subject to the applicable store account and purchase controls, including Family Link, Amazon parental controls, Ask to Buy and other available parental controls.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Farm Run's features, service providers or legal requirements change. The updated version will be published on the Farm Run Privacy Policy page with a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes will be highlighted or presented in the game where appropriate.
